  Obtained a home loan with them a few years ago... Against my wishes they sold the loan to Wells Fargo where I was a victim of their false account schemes that you probably heard about in the news.
  
  Flash forward to today... Tried to cash a small check from First Citizens Bank that a client sent to me. I am the sole proprietor of a small business and the check was made out to my business. First Citizens refused to cash the check despite having ALL the documents necessary to do so.
  
  I went down the road and did my business with SPC. I do not recommend First Citizens.
